The NC Documentation feature of Prospector provides an unparalleled capability to generate reports directly from Prospector. From traditional NC setup sheets to specialized job tracking reports, you can quickly and easily document an entire project.

Report Data is Always Current and Accurate

Unlike manually created documentation, Prospector generated reports are always 100% accurate because the data in a report is directly linked to the project. This means that any change to a project is immediately propagated to the documentation. No more worries about lost documents or documents that don’t actually reflect the steps that were taken to machine the job.

Design Your Own Custom Reports

The flexible Page Setup feature lets you design the format and contents of a report.  Choose from over 80 data sources including graphics of the part or even your own company logo.

Using the Custom Properties feature, you can add your own data sources to be captured as part of the project data and include in reports.  Custom headers and footers and page formats are configurable.

Capture the History of the Entire Job

Because Prospector remembers everything that happens to a project, you have access to historical information such as:

• Who created a program?  When was it created?
• Which programs were edited?  When was a program edited?  Who edited a program?
• Was a program post-processed?  When?  By who?  What as the name of the post processed file?
• Who created the project?  When?  What part data file was used?
• Were there any engineering changes?  When?

Documented Conformance to Quality Processes

Documentation of your quality processes and documented conformance to those processes is a key element of QS-9000. Prospector can help you accurately record and document the results of NC programming activities throughout the shop so you can ensure processes are followed and make those records available to customers and QS-9000 auditors.
